Here in the Philippines, Kiss of the Spider Woman was adapted and translated by Rene Villanueva in a Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA) production that was directed by Soxie Topacio. Instead of Argentina, the setting is shifted to Manila. It was later restaged in , and starred BB Gandanghari and Jet Alcantara.
